Minimal Injection Therapy (Μ.Ι.Τ.) is an innovative approach, which was developed by Dr. med. Ioannis Bouchelos and has been successfully applied since 2000. The first presentation took place at the General Air Force Hospital (GNA – Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation), followed by a presentation to Toshikatsu Yamamoto and his team in Nishinan, Japan, in 2001.
The core principle of this innovative therapeutic method is minimal invasiveness so as to effectively treat various conditions, ranging from musculoskeletal disorders to chronic pain.
Μ.Ι.Τ. is based on Neural Therapy, utilizing the injection of local anesthetics for therapeutic purposes. Dr. med. Ioannis Bouchelos’ Μ.Ι.Τ. innovates by selecting a more precise point, based on Jean-Pierre Barral’s Barral Method. Specifically, it incorporates General and Specific Body Listening, allowing the identification of the disturbance field through sensation. This approach optimizes the Neural Therapy function, making the injection or acupuncture point selection more accurate, reducing their number, and enhancing effectiveness. Additionally, Μ.Ι.Τ. differs by including injection of substances beyond local anesthetics, such as glutathione, a primary body antioxidant. It employs minimal substance quantities, ensuring the therapy is well-tolerated.
The goal of Μ.Ι.Τ. is to restore the body to its healthy state via regulatory and anti-inflammatory solutions with almost zero side effects.
method, providing effective and minimal invasive treatment options. He remains dedicated to Dr. med. Ioannis Bouchelos is widely recognized as a leading expert in the Μ.Ι.Τ. staying abreast of modern medical advancements, continually exploring new ways to improve therapeutic outcomes, including revolutionary methods like Μ.Ι.Τ.
The Μ.Ι.Τ. method offers an exciting approach to a wide range of medical conditions. Its minimal invasiveness, targeted relief, and potential improvement of the patient’s quality of life, make it a popular choice for both physicians and patients. Thanks to Dr. med. Ioannis Bouchelos’ high specialization and dedication, patients can be assured of receiving the highest quality care.

The patient didn’t exhibit positive rheumatoid arthritis indicators, yet suffered relevant symptoms. By introducing glutathione injection at specific points in the spine with the help of M.I.T., there was total symptom relief after 15-17 sessions, gradual discontinuation of rheumatoid drugs. The treatment included appropriate nutrition to prevent relapse.
The patient followed Μ.Ι.Τ. treatment with glutathione injection at trigger points, which offered immediate improvement in balance and overall symptoms after the first session. The treatment was combined with IV injections.
M.Ι.Τ. followed by vitamin and glutathione injections, combined with IV infusion, significantly improved and recovered all bodily functions.
